Today, on the Feast of St. Demetrius, we are celebrating our Praznyk (Parish Feast Day) together with the Parish of St. John’s. The program includes the Liturgy, the Blessing of water, lunch, and a pie auction. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration!
Today officially begins the second phase of the Annual Eparchial Appeal Share 2025. It will be conducted in all parishes and missions beginning today through November 30th. Each parish and mission can help the Eparchy to meet current eparchial expenses and plan for the future growth of our Eparchy. You can either mail your contributions to the Eparchy address, place it in the collection basket during the coming weeks of the appeal or make an online donation on our website www.chicagougcc.org (click on “Share 2025” banner). Please pray for the success of Share 2025.
The Ninth Annual Oliver George Memorial Coats for Kids, sponsored by the KofC Council 6310 and the St. Bernard’s Catholic Daughters, will have Children’s coats available on September 14 and into the winter months. Anyone can request a child's coat. We need to know the size and whether it is for a boy or a girl.
Exciting Event: Ukrainian pop artist Kozak Siromaha will be live in Belfield! The concert will occur at the Belfield Theatre on December 3 at 6:30 p.m. The ticket price is $30 at the door. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone interested in Ukrainian culture to experience a unique performance. Kozak Siromaha performs as a medieval Ukrainian warrior and a Cossack, bringing a captivating blend of music and heritage. Everyone is warmly invited!
